UP Building Products, part of the BRCK Group plc, is looking for a 7.5 Tonne Driver.  This is a great opportunity for a person looking to join our professional team and provide a top customer delivery service to our customers. 

UP Building Products provides quality build supplies for any home project whether for domestic DIY projects or for those working in the trade or construction industry. Our trustworthy and reputable UPVC products and build supplies can be used to fix or build roofline and cladding systems.  We supply a large range of building materials from leading brands which are always of the highest quality. 

About the Role

As a 7.5 Tonne Driver, you will be handling products for customers with a multi drop service. You will need a high focus on customer service, a willingness to learn and the ability to use a Epod service to obtain proof of deliveries. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a 7.5-tonne vehicle in accordance with all road traffic laws and company policies.
  • Complete scheduled deliveries and collections efficiently and on time
  • Load and unload goods where required, ensuring cargo is secured correctly
  • Conduct daily vehicle safety inspections and report any defects promptly
  • Complete delivery paperwork, electronic proof of delivery (POD), and vehicle records accurately
  • Provide courteous and professional customer service during all deliveries and 

collections

  • Ensure compliance with Driver Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive 

requirements

  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and present a professional image at all times
  • Communicate effectively with the transport office regarding delivery progress
  • Follow health and safety procedures, including manual handling guidelines
  • Report accidents, incidents, or damage immediately

What We Are Looking For

Essential 

  • Full UK driving licence with Category C1 entitlement
  • Valid Driver CPC qualification
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • Good knowledge of UK road transport regulations
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physically fit and capable of manual handling duties where required
  • Ability to follow H & S and Company procedures and policies

Desirable 

  • Previous experience driving a 7.5T vehicle
  • Multi-drop delivery experience. 
  • Experience using handheld delivery devices or route management systems.
