Firstly, the project has been awarded The Best New Building for 2019 and has been recognised by the UK’s most prestigious architectural award, the [RIBA Stirling Prize 2019](https://www.architecture.com/awards-and-competitions-landing-page/awards/riba-regional-awards/riba-east-award-winners/2019/goldsmith-street). This ground breaking project consists of 105 energy efficient ‘Passivhaus’ dwellings. It is the largest of this type of construction and is the first social housing project to be awarded the prize. Crest were able to make a major contribution to the stunning aesthetics and performance of the scheme with the creation of a bespoke blend of bricks for the project, the Crest Goldsmith Blend, which captured the colours of the predominantly Victorian buildings nearby. Goldsmith street is an exception though. It captures the spirit of a very special place. A coherent visual field that communicated the best of enlightened modern domestic European architecture from the outset. The more one absorbs this project, the more this feeling is reinforced.
