# Planet

We are committed to taking action to change the way we do business within our own operations and through the supply chain, in order to meet the challenges of climate and ecological emergencies.

Our goal is to be carbon net zero in our own operations (Scope 1 and 2 emissions) of our sales businesses by 2030.

 ## Our Priorities

To focus on minimising our negative impact and develop services and projects that give back and help restore balance, we have three key priorities - decarbonisation, resource use and management and restoring balance.

 

 

 

 ## Decarbonisation

We have set ourselves a target to achieve carbon net zero in our own operations (Scope 1 and 2 emissions) of our sales businesses by 2030. Through technology and behaviour change, we will start by eliminating all emissions that we can and only offset what we cannot using nature-based solutions.

We will be carbon net zero in our own operations of our sales businesses by 2030 by:

 Procuring and producing renewable energy 

 Moving to an electric or other low emission car fleet 

 Developing plans for our logistics and manufacturing businesses 

 

We will work towards a carbon net zero supply chain by:

 Embedding our sustainable procurement strategy 

 Working in partnership to reduce scope 3 emissions

 ## Resource Use and Management

Sustainability is the practice of using natural resources responsibly. We recognise that the work we do has an impact on the planet and are focused on understanding how we take, use and manage our resources.

We will manage and reduce our resource use effectively by:

 Developing our teams' sustainability expertise to drive behaviour change 

 Eliminating avoidable waste 

 Removing single-use plastic from our office, events and packaging 

 Embedding our sustainable procurement strategy

 ## Restoring Balance

As we work hard to minimise our negative impact on the planet, we will also give back to make positive changes and invest in a more sustainable future. We want to help more people and support more environmental and community-focused initiatives. We are committed to restoring balance and have recently funded the planting of 10,000 trees through our Foundation.

We will give back to the planet and support biodiversity by:

 Support the Earth Trust charity with their access to environmental education programme 'Inspiring Future Green Leaders' 

 Explore how we can support nature based solutions 

 Working with our sustainability champions to carry out local initiatives such as office composting and pollinator-friendly planting
